The Ultra Drive is a multiple stage distortion/fuzz pedal that puts the emphasis on sustain and that "wall of sound" tone. Internally you will find both Silicon and NOS(New Old Stock) Germanium diodes that we use to obtain the smooth saturation this unit provides. To increase the response of the unit we have integrated a charge pump circuit into the Ultra Drive. This circuit takes your normal 9VDC input and jumps it up to ~18VDC. This internal voltage increase provides for greater headroom and allows your tone to really shine. You asked for distortion, you got distortion, you wanted sustain, you got sustain....don't you wish everything was that easy?
